Program - Biscornu by May & Helen

At the October/November Meetings May Wong and Helen Thompson will lead us in making a Biscornu Pincushion and Scissor Fob/Ornament. Kits will be $5 and will be available in red, white, ecru, lime green and light green linen. Please bring scissors and a small embroidery hoop. #8 Crewel Needles and Anchor Floss will be available. If you have favorite colors of floss please bring them.

This month May will demonstrate the blanket stitch pinwheel flower and a fly stitch leaf. Each kit will have two 4x4 squares for the pincushion and three 2.5x2.5 squares - two for the scissor fob and one to practice on. They all have the outline already embroidered on them. If you don't wish to hand embroider your biscornu you may machine embroider on it. Helen purchased a design from Artistic Designs at www.oregonpatchworks.com. Many other designs would be suitable.
